Is Bold Profits Daily a Legit Newsletter?

I was browsing the Banyan Hill website recently when I discovered Paul Mampilly’s “Bold Profits Daily” email newsletter and decided to sign up to see what all the fuss was about.

Is it legit? Bold Profits Daily is a legitimate email newsletter service brought to you by publishing company Banyan Hill and investment guru Paul Mampilly.

On the plus side, subscribers receive Paul’s stock picks and market insights for free, but the downside is that many of the emails contain promotional content.

Read on to learn more.

What Is Bold Profits Daily?

Bold Profits Daily is a free email newsletter subscription.

What this means is that, once you sign up, your email is added to a database so that Paul Mampilly can send you regular automated emails about investing.

As a subscriber to Bold Profits Daily, you receive six emails per week that cover investment related topics. Which, for the most part, consist of Paul sharing his market insights and stock picks.

The good part about this service is that it’s totally free of charge, and Paul Mampilly shares a lot of value with subscribers. Paul is an expert investor with a track record of success, so there’s some real nuggets in these emails.

And it’s not just written email content, Paul also publishes videos on his YouTube channel that compliment the emails you receive as a subscriber of Bold Profits Daily.

Sounds good, but what’s the catch?

There’s no “catch” because you do get lots of great free content. Not just from Paul but from others who work for Banyan Hill like Ian Dyer and Amber Lancaster for example.

But it mostly exists to sell his paid newsletter services.

So when you subscribe to Bold Profits Daily, you will also receive a fair few “promo emails” where Paul pitches his paid newsletter subscriptions.

Most of the time it doesn’t seem like this is happening though, because it’s all done in such a clever manner.

For example, Paul spends a lot of time talking about a concept he calls America 2.0, which eventually leads you to a pitch for Profits Unlimited, his paid newsletter service.

Here’s a list of paid subscriptions Paul pitches to subscribers:

Each link above takes you to a detailed review of each, so if you want to learn more about these paid newsletters, be sure to check these out.

In any case, as you can see, Paul has set up quite a clever sales funnel. One that starts with a free email newsletter, and that finishes with thousands of dollars in premium subscriptions.

That doesn’t make it a scam though.

Just because Paul is giving you quality free content, and also selling high-priced subscriptions, in no way makes it dishonest or a scam. Especially not since there’s a lot of value in these subscriptions too.

But I did think it was worth mentioning that, like most gurus in this space, there’s a cost involved if you want the good stuff.

Who Is Paul Mampilly?

Paul Mampilly is a retired Wall Street hedge fund manager who worked for some of the largest banks and investment firms on the planet.

So he’s a real person with a lot of experience in investing, to the point he’s made millions of dollars and been featured on shows like Fox Business News.

His main specialty is analyzing consumer trends and innovative new tech, and investing in companies that he believes will benefit when these trends take off.

He basically looks for companies that are set to disrupt an existing industry or create an entirely new one, and invests in them before the masses. This is his bread and butter.

And he shares his knowledge within the newsletters he manages at Banyan Hill, which is a financial publishing company.

Is Banyan Hill legit?

Banyan Hill is a legitimate site, they basically pool together experts like Paul Mampilly, Matt Badiali, Ian King and Charles Mizrahi (to name a few) who collectively publish investment based content.

For example, Ian King is the author of Strategic Fortunes, and Charles Mizrahi authors the Alpha Investor service, which I’ve reviewed on this blog.

So Paul Mampilly is one of many authors at Banyan Hill. Although safe to say he’s one of the more popular ones from what I’ve seen.

Is Bold Profits Daily a Scam?

Bold Profits Daily is definitely not a scam, at least I don’t think so.

Here’s why I say this..

Because first of all, it’s free. I personally don’t consider free content to be a scam, because it doesn’t cost you anything. Unless the people running it are doing something shady like selling your email. But I don’t believe that’s happening here.

Second, the content itself is actually very helpful. Not only the emails but the videos Paul and the team create on YouTube. So, while it’s not exactly groundbreaking stuff, beginners will probably find it super helpful.

Third, the whole thing is obviously designed as a way to ramp up sales of his paid subscriptions (the ones I mentioned earlier) but that doesn’t make it a scam. It just means he’s offering both free and paid content.

Some may call it a scam because of the last point I made, but I personally don’t think that selling something makes someone a scammer. It comes down to the value of the products they’re selling, and how they sell them.

Conclusion

Overall I think Bold Profits Daily is a worthwhile email newsletter that could be worth checking out if you fit into one (or both) of the following categories.

The first would be if you are simply new to investing and want to get started by learning from people who share their insights in an easy-to-understand manner.

The second would be if you want to soak up lots of free content from Paul first, before deciding to purchase any of his paid stuff. Which I think is always a good idea before forking out lots of money on something that you may not like. At least this way you can get to know Paul and his methods before deciding.

Either way, I think there’s some good value for subscribers, and hopefully now that you’ve read this review you have a better idea of what it’s all about before joining.

  1. Paul Mampilly is the BEST thing that ever happened to this 70 hr old single mom who had only a few thousand dollars for retirement. In 3 years his suggestions have made me over $300,000. I am beside myself. I subscribed and paid a LOT of money to various OTHER professed gurus to help me play catch up and all it was was 2 steps forward and 3 steps back. I kept losing my hard earned money and I’m still working full time at age 70. I had to keep trying as I just have so few years left. Paul’s Profits Unlimited and Ian King’s Automatic Fortunes have given me peace of mind that within a year I will have made enough with their picks to allow me to semi retire and be moderately comfortable. The older you get the less you need. I’m so grateful to him and Ian. Paul is REAL and SINCERE with his desire to help the plain ole person out there like me that doesn’t have a lot of money or knowledge on how to invest. I will be forever grateful to Paul Mampillyl.
