The idea of “safely” making $50,000 in 12 months as an investor is an exciting prospect, and this is what Louis Navellier of InvestorPlace says is possible with Project Mastermind.
Navellier calls it a “retirement gamechanger” and says his proprietary system uses the predictive power of AI to uncover stocks that can make significant gains in a short amount of time. And it’s part of a service he runs called Accelerated Profits, which costs $1,999 to join.
Is it the real deal?
Project Mastermind isn’t a scam; it’s a system Louis Navellier developed that uses eight precursors to find promising stocks. And based on his track record, seeing a $50K return in 12 months might be possible depending on how much you invest.
However, there are no guarantees it’ll help you make $50,000 in 12 months. And based on what is stated in the presentation, this is based on putting $7,500 into 20 recommendations.
And not everyone has that sort of money floating around, so whether or not this service is right for you will depend on your goals and circumstances.
Overview of Project Mastermind
I first learned about Project Mastermind through a presentation on the InvestorPlace website featuring a host named Brit and investment guru Louis Navellier.
I’m not sure what Brit’s surname is, but he more or less “interviews” Louis Navellier in this presentation, which he did in a similar pitch about Louis’ Dark Pools Summit.
In any case, this presentation is about Project Mastermind, which is supposedly a “breakthrough “predictive” trading technology” that “promises $50,000 in payout opportunities over the next 12 months.” At one point, it’s even referred to as a “retirement gamechanger.”
These are some bold claims. But I know from previous research that Louis Navellier is a genuine expert. As in, he has decades of experience, runs a real money management firm, and has an impressive track record. Of course, that doesn’t mean he’s always right, but he is an expert.
And in the presentation, Louis says that, even though he’s already helped his subscribers make large gains over the years, he believes “there’s a huge retirement crisis taking place in America” and that folks at or near retirement are running out of time.
According to Louis, this made him obsessed with improving the speed at which his subscribers can see returns. Without trading volatile penny stocks, “risky options,” or futures.
Long story short, he says the Project Mastermind system is focused on “safety and speed” while also seeking out 100%-plus gains in a relatively short period of time.
Project Mastermind focuses, again, on safety AND speed—by zeroing in on little-known stocks with the potential to deliver 100%-plus gains in only a few months rather than a few years

How does it work?
According to the presentation, Project Mastermind utilizes the “predictive power” of artificial intelligence (AI) to sift through 5,000 stocks and find the ones that are “poised to soar.” And Louis says the “key to it all” is the “precursors” his system uses to identify these stocks.
He likens these “precursors” to events that help experts predict potential health issues and weather changes. And he says his system tries to determine the “likelihood of future stock price movements” based on eight precursors in particular. And according to Louis, unless all eight precursors are “lined up,” his Project Mastermind system won’t consider the stock.
Project Mastermind uses AI to look through 5,000 stocks every second the markets are open… it analyzes trillions of data points to see which companies have all 8 of the precursors lined up in the correct position
If a stock has only 7, Project Mastermind won’t even consider it….
Louis says that he and his team have “crunched trillions of data points” across virtually every stock in the market and found that, out of all the stocks that moved 100% or higher within six months, 95% of them had the same eight factors in common.
Just 8 factors explain 95% of a stock’s near-term performance. The thousands of other factors combined account for only the remaining 5%.
What are the eight factors (aka precursors)?
One of the factors Louis reveals in the presentation has to do with a company’s operating margins. Specifically, he says this has to expand by 20% over at least nine months.
One of the precursors my study uncovered–an indicator that massive stock growth is right around the corner– is when a company’s operating margins expand by at least 20% over the course of at least 9 months.
What is operating margin? According to Investopedia, operating margin measures how much profit a company makes after paying for running costs like wages and raw materials.
So that’s one out of the eight factors Louis says his Project Mastermind system takes into account. As for the other seven, Louis reveals these in a research report he put together called “Project Mastermind: Eight Precursors That Signal a Massive Stock Jump.”
And as you may have guessed, the only way to get that report is to sign up for the service. I’ll delve more into that in a moment. But for now, let’s take a closer look at the man behind the system, Louis Navellier, to see if he’s someone worth paying attention to.
Who Is Louis Navellier?
Louis Navellier is a professional money manager with over four decades of experience, and his background is in developing math-based prediction models.
According to the InvestorPlace website, the first model he built was in the 1970s while he was still in college, which he apparently used to outperform the S&P 500 3-to-1. Now, decades later, the site says Navellier’s approach has “beaten the stock market by an unheard of 6-to-1.”
Beating the market by either 3X or 6X is remarkable by any measure. Not many gurus can claim this. And from what I understand, Louis’ money management firm, known as “Navellier,” manages billions of dollars for wealthy clients and institutions around the world.
So, I think it’s safe to say that Louis is the real deal. Of course, that doesn’t mean you’ll make money following all of his recommendations, but he’s clearly an expert.
And he’s pretty popular in the financial education space, too. Louis’ most popular service is Growth Investor, an entry-level advisory focused on growth stocks. But he also runs a few other services for InvestorPlace: Breakthrough Stocks, Power Options, and Accelerates Profits.
The last service, Accelerated Profits, is the most relevant to this article since that’s the service you need to join to access his Project Mastermind stock picks.
However, he provides one stock pick for free as part of the presentation, which he says is his number one stock for 2022. So let’s take a look at that now.
Louis Navellier’s #1 Stock for 2022
During the Project Mastermind presentation, Brit says there’s a “little-known company at the heart of the driverless car revolution” that Louis has “rated number 1 based on insights from Project Mastermind.”
And towards the end of the presentation, Louis says the company he’s bullish on is a semiconductor company that makes the components that go into driverless cars.
The name of the company is Kulicke and Soffa Industries (KLIC).
That’s the only stock pick he gives away for free.
To access all of Louis’ Project Mastermind picks, you must subscribe to Accelerated Profits. And he says there are currently five stocks his system has uncovered that could “produce 100% gains or more.” So let’s take a look at what Accelerated Profits is about and how it works.

What Is Accelerated Profits?
Accelerated Profits is a stock advisory service run by Louis Navellier and published by InvestorPlace. And this is the service you need to join if you want to access the Project Mastermind stock picks.
The reason for this is because Project Mastermind isn’t a service in and of itself; it’s the “system” Louis Navellier uses to identify stocks. And that system is attached to the Accelerated Profits service. So, in other words, you can’t have one without the other.
And my understanding is that if you join Accelerated Profits through the Project Mastermind presentation, you receive Louis’ first five stock picks in a report titled “Five “Ultimate Growth Trades” That Can Soar 500% or More!”
Then, through the Project Mastermind Weekly Issues, you learn about new stocks Louis is bullish on as he finds them and the research behind each pick.
And according to the InvestorPlace website, subscribers of the service receive an “average of four of Project Mastermind’s fast-moving stock recommendations per month.”
The site also says you get trade alerts that “alert you when it’s the optimal time to exit and take profits.” So the idea is to tune into the stock picks as these are released by Louis Navellier and his team. And from there, decide which ones you want to follow using your brokerage account.
Here’s an overview of what you get as a subscriber of Accelerated Profits:
- One-year membership to Accelerated Profits
- Weekly issues of Project Mastermind
- Project Mastermind trade alerts
- Two bonus reports:
- Project Mastermind: Eight Precursors That Signal a Massive Stock Jump
- Five “Ultimate Growth Trades” That Can Soar 500% or More!
How much does it cost to join?
If you sign up for Accelerated Profits through the Project Mastermind presentation, it costs $1,999 per year. This amount is non-refundable, too. However, the InvestorPlace website states that you can get a second year’s service for free if the service doesn’t do the following:
If at the end of the first 12 months, they haven’t seen at least 20 opportunities of $2,500 in our model portfolio…
They will get a second year of this service free.
This doesn’t guarantee you’ll make a profit, but it does give you a second year of service if the service doesn’t meet the criteria they set out on the order page.
Can You Really Make $50K In 12 Months With Project Mastermind?
During the Project Mastermind presentation, Louis Navellier says the following:
I’m going to guarantee that anyone who follows all of my recommendations over the next year will have the chance to walk away with $50,000.
Anything is possible, but can he really guarantee this?
I can’t speak for Louis Navellier. But from what I understand, he’s not guaranteeing you’ll make $50K. Instead, he’s guaranteeing you’ll “have the chance” to make $50K, and if you don’t get that chance, you receive a second year of access to the Accelerated Profits service for free.
Either way, nobody can guarantee anyone will make any amount of money with any investment. Period. And there are very good reasons for this.
For example, firstly, all investments carry risk, so nobody knows how well any stock picks will perform in the future. You could make more than you thought, or you could lose your money. That’s the nature of investing.
And second, putting that aside, as a self-directed investor, it’s entirely up to you how closely you follow the recommendations and how much money you put into each pick. So it’s not possible to predict how well anyone will do with any service.
How did Louis come up with the $50,000 in 12 months figure?
During the presentation, Louis says that if subscribers haven’t “seen at least 20 opportunities of $2,500” in 12 months, then they can get a second year of the service free.
And since 20 times $2,500 is $50,000, that’s likely how he came up with the $50K figure. He also says: “Those $2,500 payouts are assuming a $7,500 initial investment” and that “Each stock would only have to go up 33% to achieve that result.”
So it seems as though Louis is basing his “walk away with $50,000” guarantee on putting $7,500 into 20 recommendations over 12 months and seeing a (roughly) 33% gain. In other words, turning a $150K investment into approximately $200K.
Unless I’m mistaken, it appears as though this is what he’s suggesting.
Either way, in my opinion, targeting a 33% gain in 12 months isn’t outrageous. Especially since, during the presentation, Louis says his average gain since inception is 37%. Of course, past performance doesn’t guarantee future results, but I don’t think that’s extreme.
Not everyone has a spare $150,000 laying around, though, which is the amount you’d theoretically need to follow all 20 recommendations.
And as mentioned earlier, the goal of the service is to provide subscribers with an average of four recommendations per month, which works out to 48 picks per year. So you could need more than this if you wanted to follow all of Louis’ stock picks.
You don’t have to follow all of his recommendations, though. Nor do you have to put a set amount into any stock pick. As a subscriber, it’s entirely up to you what you do.
Bottom Line
Louis Navellier says Project Mastermind is a system that uses “proprietary technology” and AI to “look through 5,000 stocks every second the markets are open” and find stocks that could soar in the coming months.
And he shares his Project Mastermind stock picks with those who join Accelerated Profits through the presentation on the InvestorPlace website.
On the one hand, there is no guarantee that Project Mastermind will help you make $50,000 in 12 months. So I wouldn’t join expecting to get rich quickly or without understanding that there are risks involved, as with any service or investment.
However, on the other hand, Louis Navellier is a genuine expert with decades of experience, and he has a solid track record of success. So it wouldn’t surprise me if he continued to recommend market-beating stocks to his subscribers for many years to come.
