My Daily Choice Review: Legit Business Opportunity or Scam?

Welcome to my full review of My Daily Choice.

Chances are somebody has reached out to you about an ‘amazing opportunity’, and you want to know if it’s legit or some type of scam. And if it is legit, can you actually make money?

Well in this review, I’m going to show you everything you need to know about this company, it’s products and opportunity. So you can make a more informed ‘choice’ about joining either way.

Here’s what you need to know before joining…

What’s My Daily Choice About?

My Daily Choice is a network marketing company that sells health and wellness products.

The company was founded in 2014 by Josh Zwagil, with the mission of empowering people to achieve “life-changing income and freedom” through the products and opportunity.

The ‘network marketing’ aspect means that the company sells their products through a network of independent distributors (AKA affiliates), instead of directly to the public.

And herein lies your ‘opportunity’ to make money.

By becoming a My Daily Choice affiliate, you have the opportunity to earn revenue in one of two ways. The first way you can earn is by promoting the products and the second is by referring others into the business opportunity.

And when you refer others into the business opportunity, you will earn commissions on their product sales and on the sales of people under them.

This is what makes MDC similar to other multi-level marketing companies, such as Vasayo, Kannaway and It Works for example. Which sell similar products and leverage the MLM model.

So to sum up how this works.. the idea is to signup as an affiliate, buy some products yourself, and start promoting both the products and opportunity to others to build your business.

Okay, but is this really a good opportunity for the average person?

Well the company itself appears to be doing well. Since launching in 2014, MDC has gone on to produce millions of dollars in revenue each year. Something that would simply not be possible without the help of MDC affiliates. So some people are definitely crushing it.

But does this mean you should rush out and join?

Nope. The fact that some people are making money, doesn’t mean this is automatically a legitimate opportunity or that you will make money too.

And either way, being successful within ANY venture takes time and effort. So it’s important to carefully consider what you’re actually getting yourself into before joining.

So in the following sections, I’m going to walk you through the products and compensation plan, to help you decide if this is a good fit for you personally.

The My Daily Choice Product Line

My Daily Choice has two distinct product lines:

  • Oral nutritional ‘sprays’ under the My Daily Choice brand
  • Hemp derived CBD products under the HempWorx brand

My Daily Choice Products

My Daily Choice is the parent company, so it owns the HempWorx brand and is the company every affiliate must join to become a distributor.

In any case, there are six nutritional sprays within the My Daily Choice product line:

  • Peak- Dear Antler nutritional spray
  • Shield- PH balancing nutritional spray
  • Boost- Energy increasing spray
  • Trim365- weight loss spray
  • Sleep- sleep improvement spray
  • Brain- cognitive enhancing spray

Apparently, these oral sprays help with anything from weight loss and sleep improvement, to general health, boosting energy levels and cognitive enhancement.

Each bottle weighs 30 grams and contains 33 ‘servings’, which means one bottle should last you about a month. And the price depends on which of the following ‘packs’ you buy:

  • Builder Pack- 3 bottles of any spray for $69.95 plus shipping
  • Director Pack- 8 bottles of any spray for $149.95 plus shipping
  • Executive Pack- 20 bottles of any spray for $299.95 plus shipping

Obviously depending on which pack you buy, the cost per bottle will vary. But at worst, it’s going to cost you just over 20 bucks per bottle plus shipping.

What about the HempWorx product line?

Well, these products consists of CBD oils, creams, coffee and even dog treats. All of which are lab tested to ensure quality and high CBD levels, according to the company website.

To be honest I’m personally a bigger fan of the HempWorx products.

Because for one thing they seem more credible and for another, the CBD market is exploding with growth. So you have a quality product in a growing market, which means there’s definitely potential to earn here.

You can read my HempWorx review to learn more.

The My Daily Choice Compensation Plan

The My Daily Choice compensation plan outlines how you can get started with the business opportunity, the various ways you can earn and what you need to do to advance in rank.

There are multiple ways affiliates can earn within the comp plan, but these can essentially be broken down into two main categories. Earning commissions on your personal product sales and earning commissions on the sales of those within your downline.

In the following sections, I’m going to break this down in more detail…

Getting Started

Becoming a My Daily Choice affiliate will cost you a $20 ‘affiliate fee’ and between $69 to $599 depending on which product pack you purchase.

In order to remain an ‘active affiliate’, you must purchase and/ or sell at least 40BV (business volume) worth of product each month. This means buying or selling at least one ‘HempWorx Builder Pack’ or ‘Spray Builder Pack’ for $69 each month.

My Daily Choice Product Price List

So in reality, the bare minimum startup cost is $89 ($20 affiliate fee plus $69 Builder pack).

To join the company, all you need to do is visit the My Daily Choice website, click on ‘register’ and follow the prompts. And you don’t need a ‘referring affiliate’, you can join directly.

Ways You Can Earn Money

There are 8 main ways you can earn within the My Daily Choice compensation plan. And in this section, I’m going to break each income stream down so you know how it works.

1- Retail Commissions

Earning retail commissions is the most basic way you can earn with My Daily Choice.

When you personally sell a product, you will earn the difference between the wholesale and retail price. The ‘suggested retail price’ is up to 25% off the wholesale price, which means you can potentially earn a 25% commission.

However, most people do not pay retail for My Daily Choice products.

In fact, I am yet to see ANY site where affiliates or the company is selling any of these products at retail. Rather, the only option is to become an affiliate or ‘preferred customer’ and purchase at wholesale.

And when that happens, you don’t earn retail commissions.

Instead, when an affiliate or preferred customer you refer purchases products at wholesale, these count towards your Jump Start Bonus and Binary Commissions. Which are the income streams I am now going to explain.

2- Jump Start Bonus

The Jump Start Bonus is a bonus commission paid on any affiliate and preferred customer product orders, that are placed within the first calendar month they join.

The way this works is that when you refer an affiliate and preferred customer, they go into your ‘unilevel downline’.

Which is a downline system that places you at the top, your direct referrals under you, and their referrals under them, 10 levels deep and infinitely wide.

Jump Start Bonus

The amount you can earn on each order depends on three factors:

  • Your affiliate rank
  • The BV associated with the order
  • Where your referral is within your downline

For example: Imagine that when you joined, you became a ‘Builder’ ranked affiliate by purchasing a ‘Builder Pack’. And then you personally refer a preferred customer, who buys a ‘Spray Director Pack’ for $149 (which has 100BV associated with it). In this case, you would earn 30% of 100BV, or $30.

The system automatically keeps track of your affiliate rank, how much BV is associated with each order and who goes where in your downline. Which makes life easier.

The simplest way to think about it is this- the higher your rank and the more sales volume there is within your downline, the more money you will make. The same goes for every other income stream within the comp plan.

In any case, the Jump Start Bonus is a one-time commission on the first order your preferred customer or affiliate places. From month 2 onwards, you earn Binary Commissions from these same referrals, which I will now explain.

3- Binary Commissions

Once your preferred customer and affiliates enter their second calendar month, they are placed into your Binary downline.

A binary downline places you at the top, and two affiliates directly below you and two affiliates under each of them. A process which continues a theoretical infinite levels deep.

Binary Commission Example

As you can see, you have two ‘legs’ within this downline structure.

Each leg generates its own BV according to its own performance. And at the end of each month, MDC looks at the leg with the least amount of BV, which becomes your ‘pay leg’.

Binary commissions payout a percentage of the BV that is generated within your pay leg, depending on your affiliate rank (between 10-20%).

For example: Imagine you’re a Builder affiliate with a left leg that generates 750BV, and a right leg that generates 1200BV. In this case, your left leg becomes your pay leg and you would earn 10% of 750BV, or $75.

The higher your rank, the higher the percentage of BV you can earn.

To qualify to earn from this income stream, you need two direct referrals under you who each accumulate 90BV or more per month. And the payout triggers once there’s 300BV or more within your pay leg.

Also worth mentioning is that any unused BV in the opposite leg to your pay leg, carries over to the following month. So you never lose any earned BV.

4- Leadership Check Matching

The Leadership Check Matching pays out a commission of between 5-30%, based on what your team earned in binary commissions for the month.

So if everybody in your organisation earned $5k for the month, you would earn between $250 to $1,500. The percentage you earn depends on your affiliate rank and where each referral is within your downline.

5- Global Bonus Pool

My Daily Choice sets aside 2% of ALL company BV each month, which makes up the global bonus pool. And they allocate ‘shares’ to qualifying affiliates, which are essentially a ‘slice’ of this bonus pool.

How much you can earn from each share depends on total company revenue, how many shares have been distributed to all affiliates, and how many shares you hold that month.

In any case, there’s a couple main ways you can earn these shares.

Firstly, by enrolling 4 new preferred customers or affiliates for the month, which gives you 1 share. And second, by advancing in rank from ‘5K affiliate’ and onwards, which pays out 2 shares per rank advancement.

In a nutshell, the better the company does as a whole, the less shares other affiliates have, and the more shares you have, the more money you will make from this bonus.

6- Rank Bonuses

This bonus pays out when you advance in affiliate rank, from ‘5K affiliate’ onwards:

  • 5K affiliates receive a $500 bonus
  • 10K affiliates receive a $1,000 bonus
  • 25K affiliates receive a $2,500 bonus
  • 50K affiliates receive a $5,000 bonus
  • 100K affiliates receive a $10,000 bonus
  • 250K affiliates receive a $25,000 bonus
  • 500K affiliates receive a $50,000 bonus
  • Super Affiliates receive a $100,000 bonus

To qualify for this bonus you need to accumulate 90BV and hold onto your rank for a full 90 days, before the payout is triggered.

7- VIP Auto Club

Upon earning any of the first four rank advancement bonuses, you will qualify to earn one of the following bonuses:

  • 5K affiliates receive a $150 p/m car allowance
  • 10K affiliates receive a $250 p/m car allowance
  • 25K affiliates receive a $500 p/m car allowance
  • 50K affiliates receive a $1,000 p/m car allowance

8- Elite Expense Accounts

Elite Expense Accounts are given to affiliates within the top 4 ranks. Apparently, to help cover miscellaneous expenses.

Here’s a breakdown of what each of the top 4 ranks receives:

  • 100K affiliates receive a $2,000 bonus per month
  • 250K affiliates receive a $5,000 bonus per month
  • 500K affiliates receive a $10,000 bonus per month
  • Super Affiliates receive a $20,000 bonus per month

Understanding the My Daily Choice “Affiliate Ranks”

The higher your affiliate rank, the higher commission percentages you can earn and the deeper the levels in your downline you can earn on. Not to mention, the more bonuses you’ll receive.

Verdict- Is My Daily Choice a Scam or Legit Opportunity?

My Daily Choice is not a scam in my opinion.

I’ve looked into the company, its products and compensation plan at length, and I don’t consider it to be a scam or pyramid scheme.

These are real products and the compensation plan is fair and ethical. So you can make money as a My Daily Choice affiliate.

With that being said, the income disclosure paints a daunting picture:

Income Disclosure

You can find this within the compensation plan I linked to earlier.

As you can see, far less than 1% of affiliates earn what would be considered a ‘full-time income’, on average. And unfortunately this is the case within many MLM companies I review.

This doesn’t mean the company is running a scam or that the products are no good.

Rather, it comes down to the fact that most affiliates end up selling to family and friends, and that’s about where it stops. I mean, you might make a few sales and refer a few people this way, but that’s about as far as this approach will take you.

So if you love the products, and you want to make a few extra bucks, then this could be a great thing for you.

But if you want to make real money, then you are going to want to go beyond your ‘warm market’ and learn how to sell My Daily Choice to a larger audience.

The good news is, the company seems to be embracing the online selling and lead generating approach. Which a huge step in the right direction, so hopefully these numbers improve.

Whatever you decide, I hope you found this review helpful.

  1. Awesome review! I’m in the online business myself in the MMO niche. I have registered myself as an affiliate because of the product line and I could leverege on the business aspects of the company.

However, when I saw I didn’t qualify as affiliate before I reached the 40 BV I didn’t proceed with the prosess. I was afraid I need to buy products myself every month.

I didn’t quite figure this out. Is it a one time investment, or do I need to buy products myself every month to maintain my status as an affiliate?

Because why promote a product as an affiliate if you don’t have the possibility to earn commission….

    All the best,
    Fred.

    • Yeah MLM companies operate differently to regular affiliate programs, and that is what you are seeing here. Instead of being able to just signup for free and promote products to earn commissions, you need to actually to meet a monthly quota to qualify.

In this case, to remain an ‘active affiliate’, you need to purchase and/ or sell at least 40BV (business volume) worth of product each month. Which based on my research works out to about $69 p/m.

Hope this helps and all the best going forward.

    • Hi Fred, I am an affiliate with My Daily Choice. Some changes have taken place and yes, you can be an affiliate (paying the $20 and you get your starter kit and you get the free marketing system that includes all your websites, along with the autoresponder that the company manages).

New affiliates no longer have to purchase a monthly product and they qualify for 25% commission of their customer’s business volume each time they make a sale. What they don’t get is access to the rest of the lucrative compensation plan. However, they have the option of upgrading at any time to a higher rank. This option gives new affiliates a chance to check out the company, promote the business and products to see if it is a fit before spending more money.

For those that are ready to jump in and work the business immediately, there are, of course, the different levels that give you access to the full compensation plan.

I think the $20 option is an excellent way to get started for those that are a little short on cash or unsure about how MLM works…

Hope this information was helpful, I wish you much luck.

      • Since the pandemic has hit and continues to cripple communities, Josh and Jenna have removed the $20 marketing fee, and plan on keeping it that way. So it costs absolutely NOTHING to join. The mentorship and support offered through the network are life changing. Depending on the network you bring to the business when you sign up, and your commitment to spend consistent and designated time working your business, you CAN be successful. Good luck!

Im in a aff business opp witha 3 yr well established co with a comp plan 2nd to none. Movement up thru the levels is not dependent on having to buy a mnthly quota of products.
We also have a system in place that is nowhere to be found in the industry….
A complete paradigm shift and game changer….
