Vasayo Review: Legit MLM Company or Scam?

Hello and welcome to my review of Vasayo!

Since you’re reading this, I’m guessing you’ve been approached by someone about a “amazing business opportunity”.

Which sounds cool, but you might be wondering if it’s legit?

Vasayo isn’t a scam, it’s a real company that sells health and wellness products, including CBD oil, through the multilevel marketing (MLM) business model. And it was founded in 2016 by Karree and Dallin Larsen, who were previously part of Monavie.

But does that mean you should become a consultant?

Not necessarily. But to help answer this question properly, let’s take a closer look a the company, it’s products and business opportunity, to help you decide if it’s worthwhile.

Overview of Vasayo

Vasayo was founded in 2016 by Dallin and Karree Larsen, who together have quite a successful background within the network marketing/MLM space.

Dallin and Karree Larsen

I did some digging, and it seems Dallin was originally involved with a company called Usana in the 90’s until he eventually founded MonaVie in 2005.

According to an article on Wikipedia, Monavie had quite a rocky journey over the space of 10 years with various legal battles. But in all fairness it did go onto become one of the most successful network marketing companies of all time.

You don’t get that far without some level of controversy right?

Anyway, Dallin retired from Monavie in July of 2014 after a “significant philosophical disagreement” which left Mauricio Bellora as the CEO. Shortly thereafter in 2015, the company went bust.

There’s a lot more to the story than this, but I don’t think it’s worth going into here. If you do want to learn more about the history of the founders, I recommend checking out the Wikipedia article above.

The Vasayo Product Line

The Vasayo product line consists 8 “Microlife Nutritionals” wellness products.

These are mostly dietary supplements ranging from detox capsules and weight loss supplements, to multivitamins and even CBD (Cannabidiol) oil.

Here’s a breakdown of the products currently on offer:

  • CBD One (CBD oil)
  • V-Tox (detox caps)
  • Eternal (antioxidant supplement)
  • V-Slim (weight loss powder)
  • Core Complete (multivitamin caps)
  • Neuro (cognitive enhancement caps)
  • V3 (energy, hydration and mood supplement)
  • MicroLife Sleep (oral spray to improve sleep)
  • Renew (oral spray for joint health)

Vasayo seems to be hitting the ‘wellness’ market from all angles with this product line. The marketing is certainly top notch too, there’s a strong perception of quality.

And they back this up with a downloadable PDF for each product to show you exactly what ingredients are used and what makes these products unique.

It’s also good to see them jumping on the ‘CBD’ bandwagon. Many networking marketing companies are cashing in on this, such as HempWorx and Kannaway for example.

Because there’s huge potential here. It’s a rapidly growing market throughout the US and across the globe.

Anyways, the products all come with a 30 day money-back guarantee too. So if you buy any of these and are not happy, they’ll refund you.

They also offer a 31-60 day return policy for unopened product of 90% which is an added benefit.

Unique Product Formulas or Gimmick?

One of the things that makes the Vasayo product line unique, is that their products contain ‘lipsomes’.

The spokesperson for the products, Dr. Emek Blair, is the founder of a company called Valimenta Inc. which is pioneering “liposomal dietary supplement” research and development.

Dr. Emek Blair

I’m no health expert, so here is a snippet taken from Wikipedia about liposomes:

Liposomes are presently being implemented for the specific oral delivery of certain dietary and nutritional supplements. A very small number of dietary and nutritional supplement companies are currently pioneering the benefits of this unique science…

It appears this has something to do with increasing absorption and bioavailability of nutritional supplements and making them more effective.

In other words, making vitamins work better.

From what I have seen (again, not an expert) there does appear to be credible evidence to support this technique.

It turns out this is exactly what makes the Vasayo product line unique. Better yet, Dr. Emek (a respected scientist) uses a proprietary technique to develop his liposome formulas.

The reason this matters for someone looking to get into the business opportunity, is because the products could potentially be very unique and very cool if consumers get results with this. More to the point, Vasayo will have the monopoly on this proprietary technique since they are in partnership with Dr. Emek.

If these products live up to the hype, this could be one of the few mlm companies within the health and wellness space that genuinely delivers a unique product that is worth the price.

Breaking Down Vasayo’s Compensation Plan

The Vasayo compensation plan (AKA Rewards Plan) outlines how you can get started as an affiliate, the various ways you can earn money and how much you can earn.

And since this is a network marketing company, you can earn both by selling the products and by building your team.

In this section, I’ll break all of this down so you know how it works in detail…

Getting Started

Getting started is as simple as choosing a product package which ranges between $239 -$899 and at the time of writing this, they are offering a ‘founders package’ for $1495.

In order to be considered as ‘qualified’ to earn commissions, affiliates must have at least 2 active Brand Partner’s under them within the binary downline system (explained below). To be active, affiliates must accumulate 80 PV (personal volume from retail sales) or more per month and have at least 1 customer.

Ways You Can Earn Money

There are 8 different income streams available depending on your affiliate rank and performance. To learn what rank corresponds with each income stream, refer to the ‘affiliate rank chart’ further down.

Customer Sales Bonus (CSB)

This pays out a 20% commission on retail sales made by an affiliates personal customers. Within a given 4 week cycle, affiliates also earn a $50 to $150 bonus depending on their sales volume.

Product Introduction Bonus (PIB)

When an affiliate sponsors a new brand partner, they will earn a 20% bonus on their first order.

Binary Team Commissions (TC)

This is the meat and potatoes of the compensation plan.

The way this works is based on a ‘binary’ downline model, which means you can only ever have 2 people directly under you, and so on, infinitely deep.

Binary Downline System

In other words, you only ever have 2 legs and so does everyone else in your downline.

And each week, the total CV (commission volume) of your binary downline is automatically calculated for both the left and right legs. One leg will be ‘weaker’ and one will be ‘stronger’ based on the CV of each.

So whenever these two binary legs reach 240CV (weaker leg) and 480CV (stronger leg) a ‘cycle’ is earned, which pays out $25. How many cycles an affiliate earns on is capped based on rank (see chart below).

Team Commission Matching Bonus (TCM)

With this income stream you actually have a separate downline structure that all of your same referrals go into in addition to the downline I just explained. This time, the model is known as ‘unilevel’.

8 Level Unilevel Downline Example

There is no limit to the number of affiliates you can have directly under you with this downline model.

Anyway, the way you get paid with this is based on the concept of generations. Each generation stops and a new generation started wherever a ‘bronze’ ranked affiliate is located within your downline.

For example: There could be 153 affiliates in ONE leg of your unilevel downline between you and the next bronze ranked affiliate. This is your first generation. Then, imagine there are 27 affiliates between that bronze affiliate and the next bronze affiliate, that is your second generation. This continues.

The commission payout percentages are based on the earnings of your referrals in a given generation, according to what they earned in binary team commissions. These are the commissions I explained earlier.

For example: Imagine your first generation earned a total of $4,000 in “Binary Team Commissions” and you are a silver ranked affiliate yourself. You would earn 10% of this, or $400.

Basically, the better your rank, the bigger your downline and the more your downline is earning, the greater this commission becomes for you. See the chart below for specifics:

Team Commissions Matching Bonus Chart

Your rank (second column) determines how many generations you get paid on and what percentage payout is applicable. How much you make ultimately depends on your rank, the generation itself and how much that generation has earned in binary team commissions.

Rank Advancement Bonus (RAB)

Quite simply, when an affiliate advances in rank, they will earn a bonus from ‘black diamond’ onwards.

This pays out $100,000 for a Black Diamond affiliate, and goes up to $1 million for Triple Crown Blue Diamond affiliates. The payments are split up into 10 monthly chunks.

Global Leadership Bonus (GLB)

This bonus is paid out in ‘shares’ to Gold affiliates and above, and is made up of 3% of the companies total global CV.

How much each share is worth depends on the companies global revenue at the time, and how many other affiliates are sharing in the bonus.

Either way, the higher your rank, the more shares you’ll receive and the more money you will make as a result.

Lifestyle Trips (LT)

Lifestyle trips are awarded to Blue Sapphire, Diamond, Black Diamond and Crown Blue Diamond affiliates upon reaching that rank.

These are all expenses paid trips to various destinations around the globe, and are a mix of business and pleasure.

Multiple Business Centers

Any Black Diamond affiliate who maintains this rank for 4 consecutive weeks, is eligible for an additional business center. Which of course means higher earning potential.

Understanding the Vasayo ‘Affiliate Ranks’

As mentioned earlier, your earnings potential depends on your rank within the company.

We’ve gone over the various ways you can earn. So in this section, I’m going to outline the various ranks, what you need to do to earn that rank, and what income opportunities open up as you progress.

There are 18 ranks in total, so stay with me as I go through these…

As you can see, the more you progress in rank, the more active customers you need and the more retail sales are required (CV) to produce an income.

From what I can see, the CV is based solely on actual retail sales which means the more you progress in rank, the greater emphasis is placed on helping your team make actual retail sales to non-affiliates.

This is a good thing. One of the key things that makes MLM companies cross over into sketchy territory, is a big focus on chain recruitment.

And from what I can see, Vasayo is confident enough in their product to have a strong emphasis on retail sales. Which makes this an ethical, sustainable and potentially good opportunity.

Is Vasayo a Legit MLM Company?

Vasayo is not a scam or pyramid scheme in my opinion.

If the products really are unique and offer genuine value for money, there could be a bright future ahead for this company. Safe to say, Dallin and Karree know what they’re doing.

It’s nice to see a company with a strong focus on retail sales qualifying as oppose to recruiting people too.

The compensation plan is structured in an ethical and respectable manner, while leaving plenty of room for ambitious distributors to make a profit. I think it will come down to how great the product is.

One point worth mentioning is that if you are serious about building your business, you should consider branching out beyond just people you know.

I’m not sure what kind of training they provide affiliates, but you definitely want to learn marketing methods that go beyond chasing people you know.

Whatever you decide, I hope you found this review helpful.

  1. Terrible experience with Ricky Untermeyer. I do not recommend this company if you are looking to make more income. Once I decided Vasayo was not for me…Ricky told me he would get the autodrafts stopped from my account. He said he would make sure of it. He never did and began ignoring my texts. Once finally speaking with him he was terribly rude and told me to contact Vasayo that he’s no quitter and he normally doesn’t help quitters. All this after giving his word he would help the drafts stop. They will appear to be the sweetest Godly people until you are no benefit to them and then they turn on you. Completely arrogant egotistical people.

It is a pyramid scheme and the jokes on you…this company is thriving off of people like you who are residual income for them through your monthly payment they refuse to stop withdrawing from your account eventhough they said they would take care of it and you didn’t have to worry about anything. Ricky will blow you up until he gets you signed up and then you will see a huge difference in attitude. Beware and don’t fall for this like I did.

Also, when you reads complaints online they will play like it is a competitor trying to make them look bad. I am not a competitor. I am a single mother who works her butt off only to have people like Vasayo squeezing extra money out of me monthly and promising to stop repeatedly and not do so.

  2. About 30 years ago I became a distributer of Usana, acquiring 3 business centres, which was then a new company on the cutting edge of supplements. It had only been in operation year or two but the products were phenomenal. I was brought in under D. McWilliams who later joined the parent company, Board of Directors. So I am sure Dr. Larsen has produced another great product line. Although I am no longer interested in a Business Opportunity I would certainly like to try his product and wish him well in his new adventure.

  3. Mona Vie connection troubling
    Science page missing?
    Liposome bubbles not new
    Lots of testimonials
Where are the IRB Peer Reviewed Clinical Studies on the finished product
Other than that the Mona Vie crowd have a new deal
and looks like money is being made and paid
