Read my review to find out what this “work from home job” is really about…
My Home Success Plan Review
I stumbled across My Home Success Plan today and immediately knew what I was looking at. April Matthews claims she wants to help you make money posting links. But the reality is, this is just another link posting scam site.
I know that’s a bold claim to make, and I don’t expect you to take my word for it. So throughout this review, I’ll do my best to explain why I say this. So you can make your own mind up.
The first thing I want to point out is that there are MANY versions of this same scam site floating around.
The sales pitch and what they’re selling you is always the same, but they switch up a few details. Such as the name of the woman telling the story, the name of the site, logo and URL etc.
For example, here’s an IDENTICAL site called Auto Home Profits:
I haven’t reviewed Auto Home Profits myself. But as you can see these sites are practically identical. The only difference is the name of the site, and this time “Shelly Davis” is the one telling the story.
There are many other examples like this. I’ve come across dozens upon dozens of these sites over the years, there are seemingly endless variations of it.
Anyways, it’s only when you take a closer look at this stuff, by doing your due diligence as you are now, that you find this out. Unfortunately, programs like this pretend like there are ‘limited positions’ available and use other tactics to try and stop as many people as possible from learning this.
So I commend you for being smart and doing your homework. This is the best way to make sure you know what you’re getting into and to avoid scams. At least in my experience.
What’s My Home Success Plan About?
My Home Success Plan is a link posting scam site. It promises to give people a “proven and certified” way to make $379 per day or more working from home.
However, the only people who are really making money with this, are the people running it. Their ONE goal is getting you to fork out $97, not helping you create a real business or land a real home job.
It is possible to earn money online, even significant amounts of money.
But it doesn’t happen by “posting links” as if it’s some kind of home job. This is literally something these scammers made up, to trick people into buying.
They also use many other tricks, such as fake alias’ and fake news endorsements.
To top it off, they rent/ sell your information to other marketers, so they profit from you even if you don’t buy anything. If you do buy, you will find that the training does NOT help you make money posting links at all.
Who Is April Matthews Anyway?
April Matthews is a fake persona, made up by the people running this scam.
There are THREE main reasons I say this:
- The website domain uses an anonymous domain registration
- She’s a stock photo
- The same story has been recycled for YEARS now
Using an anonymous domain doesn’t make someone a scam. It’s totally fine to protect your domain info to help avoid SPAM, which is what that essentially does.
However, when you combine this with the second two points I just made, it’s a different story. Here’s proof April Matthews is a stock photo:
I’ve already shown you proof her story is recycled. But feel free to check out my other reviews of these scam sites through the link I provided earlier too.
The sad thing about her story, is that it must work to lure people into buying.
Because it’s the same story they’ve been using for years now. Which means they are actively targeting people who are struggling financially. People who NEED to make money quickly. Which is nothing short of disgusting if you ask me.
How ‘Link Posting’ Really Works
Link posting is not a real business or job- let me be very clear about this.
While the site gives you a ‘link posting calculator’ and tells you making money this way is as easy as “copy and paste”, it’s simply not that easy.
How would I know?
Because what they are really selling people on is affiliate marketing. Which (in a nutshell) is where you earn money promoting other companies’ stuff.
The idea is to join an affiliate program (for example Amazon), which give you your unique affiliate link. And from there, your job is to get people to click on your affiliate link. When people do click on your link and make a purchase, you earn a commission.
There’s obviously a lot more to it than this but that’s the general gist.
In any case, affiliate marketing is a 100% legitimate business model. I know this because this is what I do myself to earn a full-time income online.
But again, it’s important to understand that affiliate marketing is NOT that easy!
What these people have done, is take a legitimate business model (affiliate marketing) and made it sound like a job. Or some kind of push-button system.
It’s not. Affiliate marketing is a BUSINESS first of all. And it takes time and consistent effort to see results. It absolutely does not happen by posting a few links and hoping for the best.
There is a full process involved so you need real education if you want to be successful. Which sites like this do not give you. Rather, they tell you that everything will happen at the push of a button, to make a sale off of you.
Is My Home Success Plan a Scam?
Yes, My Home Success Plan is a scam in my opinion. The entire sales pitch is fake and extremely misleading. They lure people into a fake home job under false pretenses and to keep the scam running, constantly change names and URLs.
To give this scam credibility, they use generic news videos that talk about “working from home.” Along with news logos and statements like “this opportunity has been receiving a lot of media attention lately”.
But this is part of the scam. These SAME videos have been used over and over again across many of these sites. And NONE of them mention or actively endorse this program at any point.
It’s nothing more than a marketing tactic to get you to buy on impulse.
The last point I want to make, which is a huge red flag, is how they share your information with third parties…
You need to put your email (and optionally your phone number) into the box on the previous screen, just to access the sales page.
So in this way, they profit from you even if you don’t buy. Because they sell this information to other unethical marketers, who contact you relentlessly about buying more and more stuff. I don’t know about you but I hate SPAM.
The ONLY saving grace with this program is that it is being sold through an affiliate network called ClickBetter. This is good because you can contact ClickBetter directly if you want a refund. And they normally do process refunds.
However, I recommend being extremely careful spending ANY money over the phone. Quite often these people call members to upgrade to much higher ticket products. And if you buy something over the phone, it can be very difficult to get your money back.
Conclusion
There is obviously no way I could recommend this to you in good conscience. I understand the REAL process of earning money online, and I’ve seen this scam many times before. So I know that the only reason this site exists is to make the people running it money.
What you do is up to you, but hopefully, this helps you decide for yourself either way.
I always Google and look for reviews before buying anything online、and thank God this review was at the top of the search engine.
And thank you for the valuable heads up.
Glad the review was helpful Natasha and thanks for chiming in.
Thank yoi so much for this review. I nearly falls for it. I’m so desperate to work at home so I can stay with my baby girl.
Glad the review was helpful Suzette, and thank you for commenting.
I was glad to read your review, although I know that any place that asks you for money is not a legitimate site. All they want is your money! I would love to work from my home because I am disabled and cannot work outside my home. Plus, my husband and I are both on Social Security only, and with the raises in costs of living and the lack of more money from Social Security, we are having a really hard time making ends meet. If anyone has a REAL way to work online, I sure would like to know about it! Thank you for giving us some great information.
Hi Fern,
Yeah I don’t really recommend any online ‘jobs’ as such, because in my experience most of them pay very little for a lot of work. So I really only recommend what I do myself to earn money online, which is affiliate marketing. That article specifically addresses whether or not it’s a good business for senior citizens so you may find it helpful.
Thanks for commenting and all the best going forward!
Thank you so much for posting this article! I almost bought into it!
You are welcome Meri, glad you found the review helpful 🙂
Can I get my money back
You should be able to, through ClickBetter. Look on your credit/ debit card statement to see who actually charged you. If it’s ClickBetter then contact them and they should process the refund. Although I can’t say for certain.
