Should You Become a Modere Consultant?

As people get older and start noticing wrinkles, achy joints, and less energy, many are inclined to go searching for a product that can help smooth their skin, oil their bones, and give them a much-needed boost of energy.

If that’s you – or people you know – you might have come across Modere’s line of harmful-chemical-free products that are aimed at doing just that – and more.

And maybe, if you knew they were an MLM company, you’ve considered becoming a consultant for them.

In this article, we’ll look at all the aspects of Modere to help you decide if this is a business venture worth trying!

What Is Modere?

Modere is a worldwide multi-level marketing company based in Springville, Utah that was technically founded in 1987.

But in actuality, the company started off as Neways, Inc., and only recently changed its name to Modere in 2015. There reasons for this are speculative, but many suggest that the multiple lawsuits Neways had under its belt was beginning to hinder their success as a company, so they relaunched.

Regardless of the reason, Modere is still fundamentally the same as Neways. They offer a variety of products revolving around health and wellness, and have a “live clean philosophy.”

Modere products Live Clean concept

Modere’s goal is to provide people with products that are free from “controversial chemicals,” with the goal that it will help promote a healthy environment in your home.

They pride themselves on offering a “new approach to modern health” by using natural ingredients in their products.

On top of that, they offer a chance for people to donate to Vitamin Angels, a company fighting to end poverty by providing essential nutrients to vulnerable children suffering from malnourishment.

Their mission might be a noble one, but that doesn’t mean their business is thriving. Modere is one of the few companies that doesn’t release their exact annual revenue, which has led to some becoming concerned with their financial standpoint.

Neways, Inc had around $300 million in revenue at the time they relaunched, and some reports have claimed Modere is actually growing at rapid rates, although it’s hard to be certain.

What Do They Sell?

Modere sells personal care, wellness and household products that they say don’t contain controversial chemicals that could potentially harm your health and the environment.

This is a point that they really try to drive home. Not only do they have a list of ingredients that they never use, but some of their products have even been recognized by independent organizations, in ways such as:

  •  Earning the EPA Safer Choice label
  • Becoming NSF certified
  • Becoming EWG verified
  • Confirmed as gray water safe

On top of that, their products are:

  • Not tested on animals
  • BPA free
  • In recyclable packaging
  • Biodegradable
  • Rainforest Alliance Certified

The types of products they sell range extensively, with categories such as:

  • Personal Care: Deodorants, soaps, shaving creams, anti-aging lotions, and even mouth rinses
  • Health and Wellness: Multivitamins, coffee, creamer, and other drink additives
  • Household Care: Laundry detergent, dish soap, dishwasher gel, fabric softeners, and more
  • Collagen Sciences: A variety of anti-aging products

Their products are definitely marketed to those who can afford to spend a bit more money on chemical-free products, as most of what they sell is on the expensive side.

How To Become a Modere Consultant

If you like their products and support what they stand for, you might consider making signing up to be a consultant.

And if you’re extremely confused on how to do that, you’re not alone. That’s because it’s different from your traditional MLM models – like the ones you’d find signing up for PartyLite or Justine.

The business model they use is called “Social Retail”, which is a relatively new strategy that involves incentivizing people – Modere calls them “Social Marketers” – for sharing the company’s products with their friends and family.

At the most basic level, what you’re doing is sharing an affiliate link with your family and friends. When they purchase something from your link, you’ll earn a commission on it!

So, how do you become a Modere consultant?

Here are the steps:

  1. Signup on the Modere website
  2. Pay the $39.99 joining fee
  3. Optionally, purchase a qualifying order (products)

That’s it.

The first step is to sign up on the company website. The second step involves paying a $39.99 “Social Marketer Enrollment” fee (which renews annually). This gives you access to the websites and apps you’ll need to be successful.

You’ll be asked to purchase extra packages (costing hundreds of dollars), but they aren’t necessary.

The third step is to (optionally) purchase a “qualifying order” (one that gives you 75 points) in order to qualify for Smart Shipping. Again, this isn’t a requirement, so you could bypass it and save yourself some money.

If you were introduced to Modere by a sponsor, you can enter in their referral code when you’re ready to pay for your enrollment fee. If not, you’ll have to hit the “find a sponsor” button. After that, you’ll be ready to earn!

How Much Can You Make?

As with any MLM company, how much you make can greatly vary depending on how good you are at selling people, how technologically skilled you are, and if you genuinely like the product.

With most MLM companies – Modere included – you’ll be able to come across articles from people earning six, even seven figures per year.

But Modere is unique in the fact that how much you can make is not limited by the requirement of a downline – or a team under you. You don’t have to go out and recruit and train people if you don’t want to.

Of course, if you did decide to go that route, you could, and you would increase your earning potential by doing it.

Conclusion

Overall, whether or not you should become a Modere consultant is a personal choice. But honestly, it’s a vague process.

Modere prides itself on not being “in your face” about the fact that they’re an MLM company. In one sense, that’s a good thing, because it’ll be less likely to scare potential customers away.

On the other hand, however, it makes it extremely difficult to know the ins and outs of how you’ll be earning money, how the whole process works, and what would be expected of you.

Becoming a consultant for Modere would probably be wildly successful for someone who is already some sort of an influencer, as you’d have a base of people already willing to purchase through your affiliate links.

For the more introverted person looking to earn some extra cash on the side, however, your job will be much tougher.

Although, if you genuinely like Modere’s products and want to share them with people, there’s no harm in giving it a try – you might walk away with a few extra bucks!
