Hello and welcome to my review of NuVerus.
NuVerus is a multilevel marketing (MLM) company that was founded in 2009 by Michael Jareou under the name NuVerus, which means ‘new life’ in Latin. The company specializes in health and wellness products, and sells these through the multilevel marketing model.
Is it worth joining?
Well, to help answer this, let’s take a closer look at the products and compensation plan, because these are the main elements that make up the business opporunity.
The Wellness Products
Many mlm companies claim to hold the secret to our optimal health and wellness and this company is no different. According to the company website, they have “rediscovered the wisdom of the ancients” to unlock the secret to optimal health and wellness.
The core product is NuVerus Plus which apparently combines ancient wisdom with modern science to create the ‘ultimate product’.
It contains Black Seed as the primary ingredient (also known as Nigella Sativa) and after doing some digging it does seem to have credible research to support some health benefits.
I am not an expert in this field so I won’t attempt to speculate on the effectiveness of the products in comparison to alternatives in the marketplace.
I recommend doing your own research before deciding on anything.
It is worth noting that the health claims this company is making have not been evaluated by the FDA and the doctors promoting the products are affiliated with the business.
I am yet to see any unbiased third party endorsement for these products, although that does not necessarily mean anything bad.
The Business Opportunity
Like most MLM companies, the idea is to buy some products, become a raving fan and then tell everyone you know so that they buy into the same business and so on.
The compensation plan is what outlines the different ways you can earn with the company, and how much you can earn, and it’s a little confusing.
It’s based on the idea of having two ‘trees’ that work simultaneously.
Imagine two parallel organisations with the same people in both but with different payment structures, and you automatically get paid on the better tree.
No matter which tree you get paid from they both only have two direct sponsors on your first level, because it operates on the binary system.
- Tree one – UniLevel Team Structure (6 levels deep)
- Tree two – Dual Team Commissions (infinite levels deep)
Most people would choose tree one to start out because it gives the best payout on your direct referrals, tree two is better for a larger organisation.
Don’t worry if this sounds confusing, that’s just because it is.
Getting Started
To get started in this business you can join for $49.95 which basically gets you in the door and allows you to earn pretty dismal commissions. The other options are to buy a basic, business or professional pack which unlocks higher commissions.
- Associate: $49.95 to unlock 5% commissions
- Basic Starter: $249.95 to unlock 10% commissions
- Business Starter: $449.95 to unlock 15% commissions
- Professional Starter: $1049.95 to unlock 20% commissions
These commissions actually decrease back to whatever your rank pays out after 6 months, which is 10% for the first levels.
Commission Qualifier
The option you choose above when you sign up will determine how much you’ll need to purchase each month to stay in business and maintain that level. If you sign up under the ‘basic kit’ above then you’ll need to be purchasing at least $99.99 EVERY month to stay active.
It goes up to $159.99 maintenance costs each month for the ‘business’ and ‘professional’ kits.
Ways You Can Earn
There are various ways you can earn an income with this company and I’ll break these down for you.
Retail Sales
You can earn retail commissions based on what your customers have purchased through your replicated website. The percentage varies from 5% to 20% depending on what ‘starter pack’ you purchase when you sign up.
You can also earn commissions on the amount of volume your organisation is purchasing.
UniLevel Tree
You can earn between 10% on your first level to 1% on your 6th level based on the purchased volume of your entire organisation.
Dual Team Commissions Tree
Your dual team tree has two legs, just like the uni level tree.
Here you can earn between 10% to 13% of the total purchasing volume based on the worst performing side of this tree. Remember you can only have two people on your first level so those first two people in your organisation represent one ‘leg’.
The bottom line is that the worst performing leg is the one you’ll be paid on.
What I Liked
- They provide a reasonable amount of information on their website about the products and opportunity
- There does seem to be some evidence to support the benefits of their products
What I Didn’t Like
- One of the most confusing compensation plans I’ve ever reviewed
- Higher than average start up and monthly maintenance costs
- They teach the warm market strategy to build your business
Final Thoughts
The Nuverus products may have some merit, but there are other less expensive alternatives in the marketplace that don’t require a huge monthly commitment.
For example, you can buy quality black seed oil on Amazon for a lot less. I’m not trying to sound harsh, but this is just my thoughts after going through this company.
To me, the cost of the products and of getting started in the business are high, which I think could make it difficult for you to get started as a beginner.
At the end of the day though, if you believe in the products and are willing to put the effort in to build your business, this could still be a good opportunity for you.
Whatever you decide, I hope you found this review helpful.
I have gone through the nuverus company details on your Web.
