Product: Rapid Passive Profits
Owner: Fred Barton & Pallab Ghosal
The concepts being taught are useful and can absolutely be used to create a solid income online. However, nothing about what is being taught is "brand new" and the sales page completely misleads you about what to expect. This IS doing Youtube video reviews and email marketing.
I've been getting a few emails about this product lately, so I decided to click through to the sales page and see what all the fuss was about.
You are likely interested in creating an income online and want to know if this is really worth your time?
Well done, you are one of the smart people who do your homework! I'll show you what I found...
What Is Rapid Passive Profits?
The guys behind this are Fred Barton and Pallab Ghosal, both well known marketers within Warrior Plus. If memory serves me correctly, the last product I bought from Fred was pretty good.
Anyways, they claim this is a "completely newbie friendly way to start generating $80 per day with no capital, and in just 20 minutes per day". They also say it's a 100% brand new method, it has nothing to do with SEO or Youtube marketing and you can make it work with 100% free traffic.
No doubt, this sounds pretty cool. But is it for real? Unfortunately, they are telling you stories because there is absolutely nothing "brand new" about this!
This is about doing product reviews with YouTube videos and building an email list. No part of this is "new" and it absolutely involves SEO. In other words, the above part of the sales page is a load of BS.
To be fair, this is a good method in itself and you can use this to make a solid income online. It never ceases to amaze me how these guys feel the need to mislead people like this though??
Upsells After Buying
There are 3 main upsells after buying:
- 6 Figure Blueprint for $17
- Facebook marketing training for $27
- Another 'blueprint' product for $197
This is pretty standard stuff really and like many products, the very first page you get to after all of that is designed to get you to sign up for their webinar. They also have more promos throughout this page and without a doubt, the webinar is where they will promote yet more stuff.
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with these upsells, but I do think it's fair to mention so you know what you are in for after buying.
Inside The Members Area
The members area consists of 14 video modules which show you how to get started with a list building campaign using free Youtube traffic. All of the training is done by Pallab.
Video 1: This video is mostly just Pallab telling you his story and explaining why email marketing is so important. For sure, this is one of the most important things you could do online.
Video 2: Explains the basic mechanics of an email marketing campaign. Namely, send people to a capture page, then onto a sales page and follow up with promo emails. Very standard stuff.
Video 3: Pallab starts out by saying the most important thing to do with email marketing is choosing the right offer. Personally, I think choosing a product to promote before choosing and understanding and building your audience is a mistake. How can you know what to promote or how to promote if you don't have a good grasp on who you are promoting to and if you don't have anyone to promote to?
So many people get stuck this way. They find a "high converting product" then look for people to promote it too. This is backwards. You need to build your audience first, then look for good products to promote to them.
That said, he does offer some good insights in choosing the right products to promote in general.
Video 4-6: These 3 videos walk you through choosing a product to promote through the top 3 most popular affiliate networks which are JV Zoo, Warrior Plus and ClickBank. Personally, I think JV Zoo is a much higher quality network as is ClickBank, followed by Warrior Plus.
Video 7: This is all about promoting CPA offers which is where you can get paid to generate leads instead of making sales. For example, if you lead someone to putting their email into a web form, you can make a few bucks. This can be an awesome way to quickly monetise your list without selling anything. Pallab talks about using a popular network called Max Bounty.
Video 8: This is about designing your capture page and Pallab runs through some of the components to consider when it comes to doing this. A capture page is just a page that collects a persons email address and sends them onto the sales page, whatever that page may be.
However, there is zero training provided on actually setting a capture page up which makes it pretty difficult for beginners to follow along with actually "doing" any of it.
Video 9: Very brief video outlining the steps to setting up your autoresponder and connecting it with a page you haven't been shown how to build. He does show you the steps to create an email list and create an opt-in form, however I do think newbies will get lost here.
He is literally showing you how to paste the opt-in code into a page he hasn't shown you how to create, using a page builder he doesn't reveal... as in, "just paste the Aweber opt-in code into your page guys". Cool... what page, how, where etc??
Video 10: Talks about doing Youtube video reviews and using a product called Camtasia to get this done. He does offer some useful insights here when it comes to do doing reviews and how to come up with bonus ideas. The concept of offering a bonus is good, as long as the review itself is real.
Video 11: This delves into Youtube marketing and talks about setting up promos that overlay the video itself and lead people to your capture page. Specifically, he shows you how to setup video cards which overlay the video instead of annotations, this does seem like a cool idea and it has been around since 2015 as far as I know. It's basically just a way to get people to your opt-in page from the video.
To be fair, the whole video cards thing is new in terms of what I've seen from other trainings.
Videos 12-13: Basic advice on optimising your Youtube videos to get rankings. While this is good advice in itself, there a heck of a lot more to creating a successful Youtube channel and getting steady traffic. He then talks about a 'super ninja' technique which is basically buying views to your video.
In my opinion, this is a really bad idea. The views aren't targeted and you will be attempting to 'game' the system. When it comes to search engine rankings (either Youtube or Google), this kind of 'black hat' stuff is almost always short lived and has the potential to destroy your rankings when Google catches up with you. Much like buying backlinks, it's a waste of your time long-term.
Here's an idea: create useful content that people actually watch, like and share! Optimise your content properly and you will get results. Looking for shortcuts is just plain stupid in my view.
Video 14: Pallab recommends buying fake likes for your videos with another website. Thanks man.
What I Liked
- The method of building an email list with Youtube traffic is good in itself
- Offers some good advice on product selection
- Reasonably good overall view of the process with some step-by-step components included
- Low price
What I Didn't Like
- Completely bogus claims on the sales page about what this product is about
- Skips over important steps regarding making this actually work (capture page)
- Recommends buying likes and views for your videos
- Little insights into creating a successful Youtube channel
- Despite their claims, video reviews and email marketing are not new concepts
The concept itself is good, but I wasn't a huge fan of this product overall.
If you are going into this expecting some "brand new" method of making easy money with free traffic, you will likely end up disappointed. There are critical aspects of this entire concept missing in respects to landing page creation, creating a successful Youtube channel and following up with emails which is what this is all about.
Like most products in this space, it gives you a 'taste' but leaves a lot out which means spending a lot more money and probably getting lost somewhere along the way.
That said, it is only 9 bucks and the method itself is absolutely legit. If you are looking for an overview of the process then this will give you that and may be worth it. I really do think there are better products teaching you how to build an email list with Youtube traffic though.
