The Company: Emza Gold
Founder/ CEO: Steve Carmack
Affiliate Fees: $0 to join
This isn't the most profitable opportunity on the planet, but it is an ethical network marketing company with a fair compensation plan. If you love the product then you could refer it to others and get it for free along with making a few extra bucks. That said, there are drawbacks.
Full Review Of Emza Gold
The company was launched in 2013 by Steve Carmack who has over 20 years experience in the mlm industry. Carmack states he has built teams of over 40,000 but got tired of network marketing companies changing the rules which is why he created this company.
According to a video he published on YouTube he will never do the following:
- Sell high priced start up packages
- Change the pay plan in a way that disadvantages the distributors
- Make it hard for reps to get qualified to make commissions
His vision is to create a level playing field and change the industry to makes great company and a great business opportunity for all reps involved. I have to admit I admire the guys straightforward approach and vision for the industry. He seems pretty genuine and there isn't a lot of hype and 'rah rah' on their website either which is another plus for me. I don't like hype.
The DailyGold Health Supplement
In order to understand how legitimate and worthwhile the opportunity is, it is important to look at the products the company is selling. In this case there is just one product. According to the company the product is:
America’s premier liquid daily multi-vitamin and mineral supplement that is the best in the world
Health and wellness products are very common in this space and a lot of the time they are really just overpriced and overhyped. This company doesn't appear to be making any outlandish health claims and they do offer a full (empty bottle) 90 day money back guarantee which is very re-assuring. They provide all pricing and ingredients on their website which makes it easy to evaluate.
I'm not a health expert and I haven't tried these products so I can't tell you how good they are. Personally, I do like the 'cold pressed' nature, the money back guarantee and the no nonsense marketing approach.
Available Product Options
DailyGold 32oz bottle with autoship
DailyGold 1oz bottle with autoship (32 pack)
DailyGold one time purchase
An auto-ship is an agreement that you will continue to have the product shipped to your address in the United States every month. According to the DailyGold ingredients page on the company website, the recommended dosage is 1oz per day. This means one order will last you about a month.
The Business Opportunity
The idea is to grab a bottle of product for yourself and if you love it, share it with friends and family. When they buy product through you and join the opportunity you will earn commissions on their orders and the orders of anyone who buys products from them. This business model is known as multi level marketing.
Compensation Plan Breakdown
After looking at both the compensation plan PDF and the most recent pay plan video it is clear that both customers and referrals are placed into your 8 level downline. Your personal customers and referrals go into level 1 and their customers and referrals go into your level 2 and so on down 8 levels. There is no limit to the number of customers that can go on each level.
However, the number of referrals in your downline appears to be capped at 3 on each level which indicates the company uses a 3x8 matrix downline system. The compensation material is quite vague regarding this but after everything I've looked at this appears to be the case.
The 6 Ways To Earn
Regardless of the exact downline structure used, the following ways to earn apply to anyone building an EmzaGold business.
Product Sales: For every bottle of product sold, you make a $2 commission. On it's own, this is pretty average and not somehting I would promote personally. There is a lot of work involved in getting customers so you really want to be promoting higher commission products. That said, this is recurring for the life of the customer and there is more to the comp plan.
Fast Start Bonus: Earn $20 on your first 5 customers and if you get those within your first 15 days, they'll throw in an addittional $100. You will also get your product for free once you have 5 active customers.
Lifestyle Bonus: Recruit 30 distributors who each get their 5 customers and you will earn $1000 per month. This equates to 150 people within your organisation. Achieving this means you earn the title of 'Trail Blazer' and get a nice little 3 night holiday all expenses paid.
Executive Director Pool: For maintaining 10 personal customers you become eligible to share in a bonus pool. For every bottle of product sold, the company places $5 into a 'pool' of funds and distributes them evenly amongst everyone eligible. How much this is depends on how much product is sold and how many reps are at this level. This pays out a minimum of $200 per month to qualified reps.
Senior Executive Director Bonus: Anyone you personally refer who has an 'Executive Director' somewhere in their downline will earn you a $1000 bonus and a 2 night holiday package. This can happen over and over for anyone you personally enrol.
National Director Pool: Once you get to 15 personal customers and 800 customers overall within your organisation, you earn this. The company place $3 from every bottle sold into this pool of funds and distributes it evenly amongst those achieving this. You also get yet another holiday, this time it's 7 nights in Hawaii. While this is a smaller amount, fewer people would achieve this which means you share would be greater. This is where the real earning in the company would be taking place in conjunction with direct customer sales.
The unique thing about this compensation plan is that becoming an affiliate is 100% free and there is no mandatory auto-ship. This is very rare in the mlm world and is the mark of a product focussed and ethically run company.
Getting Active & Qualified
The only requirement to become commission qualified and stay active as a distributor is to have at least 1 personal and active customer for that month you wish to qualify. An personal active customer is just someone who buys product through your replicated store.
Is This a Worthwhile Venture?
Like anything in life or business, you get out what you put in. I don't believe this is the most lucrative business opportunity out there but it's certainly one of the most sustainable mlm's I've come across given the focus on product sales as oppose to recruiting. Earning $2 pr customer each month isn't going to build you a full-time income and the limit of one product doesn't help either. To make any kind of real money with this you would need to build a fairly large organisation and work your way up to earning a monthly share in the National Director Pool.
The single biggest obstacle standing in your way when it comes to this is the method you are shown to build your organisation. The warm market approach, AKA chasing family and friends is simply not a smart way to build a business and relying on this won't get you very far.
What I Liked
- Strong product focus
- Product & opporutnity isn't as overhyped as many health and wellness mlm's
- Ethical business opportunitiy
- Simple compensation model
- Free to join and qualify by getting a customer
- You get a free replicated website
- 90 day empty bottle money back guarantee
What I Didn't Like
- Not the most lucrative pay plan all things considered
- Limited to the United States
- Too many holidays thrown into the compensation plan instead of making it more profitable
- The warm market strategy sucks
It's not every day you come across an mlm in this space that takes such an ethical approach and is run by someone who seems as genuine as Steve. This is personally not something I would have no issue with promoting from an ethical point of view but all things considered I'm not getting too excited about the idea either.
I think if you love the product and want to make a few extra bucks then it's not a bad option to consider. Keep in mind that chasing family and friends is not an effective way to build a decent business though and paying for leads is generally not a good idea either. This presents a real problem for anyone looking to make more than a few extra bucks.
