Product: Easy Profit Secrets
Owner: Lisa Curry et al.
This is an 8 video training course on choosing an audience to market to through Facebook Ads. There is definitely some good content within this for beginners and probably worth the 6 bucks, but it's a stretch from what the sales page makes out in terms of making money quickly.
I came across this product last night after getting an email from a marketer who's list I'm on. I wasn't expecting too much because the marketer I'm referring to promotes anything for a quick buck. Whatever, I was keen to see what all the fuss was about so I grabbed a copy.
What Is Easy Profit Secrets?
This product was launchd by Art Flair, Lisa Curry and Aiden Corkery a couple of days ago. According to the sales page it's the 'secret' way to making an easy $105 per day and beyond using a 'brand new' traffic method no one even knows about.
Sounds pretty exciting, and similar to what the last 1000 gurus said.
Unfortunately, this is NOT a brand new in concept and as I will show you, the product isn't brand new either. This is a course on Facebook Ads targeting.
Inside The Members Area
After buying this product and landing in the members area, it turns out it's just a re-hash of an existing product known as Triumphant Target Pro that Lisa had already released.
From what I can see, Art and Aiden have just helped her re-package and market this. Lisa is the only one delivering the core training. Fair enough.
Once you get past the upsells on your way into this ($111.49 total) you are are greeted with a call to action to buy more products and join a webinar, you will get what you paid for- 8 videos on FB targeting.
Video 1 (Overview)
This is a basic and somewhat drawn out video talking about the importance of finding a niche and an overview of the system. You also get a general list of niche ideas within the 'make money online' space.
Video 2 (Niche Research)
The basic concept with this system is to choose a niche, find someone who is a 'guru' within that niche and find them on Facebook. If that person has enough likes on their FB page, you then proceed to log into your FB ad manager account and analyse the stats on those who have liked this gurus FB page.
The cool thing about this training is that it's an 'over the shoulder' case study style setup. I think it's easier to learn when someone is 'showing you' as oppose to just 'telling you' so I did like this. By the end of this section you want to have chosen your niche, your guru, and have noted down the characteristics of that persons audience to create a 'picture' of your target audience.
As in, what would your audience would look like as an actual person.
Video 3 (Audience Profile)
This video is all about going through some of the data you collected and refining your audience. Lisa writes out a profile of the 'person' she has decided to target which shows you what you should do when you choose yours. I think for newbies, this is a useful video.
Understanding your audience is key and I think this is good basic way for beginners to learn how to 'drill down' instead of just selling to everyone who wants to make money online. It's nothing particularly ground breaking, but it is definitely useful.
Video 4 (Digging Deeper Into Your Audience Profile)
This shows you how to use a tool that gives you the most popular posts for a given topic. This is just a case of taking some of the interests you've already learned about your audience and plugging it in. For example, if your audience is interested in email marketing, you'll find the most shared and liked posts within this category. The idea is to pick 3 and and learn why your audience would want to read this stuff and what problem it solves for them.
Video 5 (Analysing The Competition)
Lisa shows you a basic way of going through and seeing what your 'guru' is sharing on his/ her timeline and how many likes those posts are getting. The idea is to pick the most popular ones and note them down since this further shows you what your audience is interested in and what you might offer them as bait to get them on your list.
Videos 6a & 6b (Creating FB Ads)
For a beginner to FB ads, this does provide a fairly useful overview of getting some of the information you've gathered and putting it into an ad. You are shown some of the targeting options and an example of what to write on the ad. Again, nothing ground breaking but useful content all the same.
Video 7 (Your Landing Page)
Caps off the training with Lisa explaining that this is really just a 'targeting' course, and not email marketing or landing page training. I guess this is for the myriad of people who are naturally thinking... cool, so what now!?
Where's The Rest Of The Training???
Everything in this training seemed to be going well until I got to this point. The training literally ends without giving you any direction on the most critical aspects of making any of this even work- building a landing page and email marketing!
It's not that a course should have to include these things, not at all. But when the sales video is telling you that this course will "make you money by tomorrow" then it becomes somewhat misleading in my opinion. I'm personally not a fan of this kind of overhyped marketing. Period.
If you are a beginner (most people who buy this) you will absolutely have to buy a bunch of other stuff to make this work.
For example you likely will need to buy these:
- Addittional training on FB ad creation
- Addittional training on creating a landing page
- Landing page software (Lisa uses ClickFunnels which is about $100 per month)
- An autoresponder
- Email marketing training
To be fair, some of these products/ trainings are inevitable purchases for anyone serious about building an online business with this or a similar methods. But they could easily add up to $100's in additional spending and weeks in addittional time spent learning. This is a FAR stretch from the claim that you will simply plug in and start making money by tomorrow. See what I mean about hype?
What's With This?
Another thing I found strange is the video they give you if you click away from the sales page a few times. According to the page, you are getting "first video free" and then if you like what you see you'll be directed into buying the product at a discount.
The video basically tells you to create a logo in Canva.com and a free video to give to your prospects to brand their business. In other words, something to give to people in return for their email. It's not a bad strategy in itself and something you could use successfully over time.
The thing is, the way the present it leads you to think it's the first lesson but in reality it has nothing to do with the core training. My point is, call a spade a spade!
What I Liked
- Core training itself was good for what it was, learning how to target an audience within Facebook
- Decent amount of content for the price ($6.42)
- The information about targeting is genuinely useful and worthwhile understanding
What I Didn't Like
- Sales material does not prepare you for what to expect
- Relying on paid traffic as a newbie can get very expensive, even with this training
- Mastering FB ads, email marketing, landing page creation and internet marketing in general takes time and the notion you can just buy this and make money tomorrow is BS
It's not a scam and there is value in the core training, but the marketing is somewhat misleading in my opinion, which lowers the score.
If they actually told the story how it really was and informed people that they were buying a course on Facebook Ads targeting, then I would have rated this higher. Instead, they chose to tell people you'll just sign up and start making money by tomorrow.
You will need to buy addittional training and products to make this system work also, especially if you don't know anything about email marketing or landing page creation. It's not a scam, but if you go into this expecting to make $100 a day quickly and easily as a beginner, you will be disappointed with this.
I spent years listening to the so called 'gurus' until I finally discovered a real way to generate a full-time income working from home. Click Here for the exact formula I followed.
