Website: Crowd Rising
This website claims they are "brining the world together" and "brining hope to those with little" through their peer to peer crowd funding platform. Unfortunately, that's not how this works. This is a blatant cash gifting scheme which means it is not sustainable and people will lose out.
This was launched by an anonymous group known as the the "5 horsemen" and according to the Who.Is database, the website was registered to Gerhard Rempel in March of 2016.
This is very similar to a cash gifting scheme I reviewed a few weeks ago called Crowd Earner, which now appears to be defunct. Schemes like this use all manner of marketing to appear genuine when in reality, it is designed to benefit the admin and the small number that join at the start.
Yes, giving is a good thing when it is just giving! This is entirely different I can assure you. I encourage you to pay close attention as I show you without a shadow of a doubt why this is not something to be trusted and it will NOT help you become financially free. I will prove this.
What Is Crowd Rising?
While it claims to be a 'peer to peer donation platform', it is absolutely a cash gifting scheme. The idea of donations is false because when someone gives a donation, they do not expect large scale and systematic compensation in return for their gift. Plain and simple.
More importantly, since all of the new funds coming into this scheme are being used to pay existing members, this constitutes a ponzi scheme. If all you are doing is recruiting people who recruit people and all the money is being made by paying one another, it is not ethical or legal and it will collapse.
The Compensation Plan
The way this scheme works is that the more people you recruit, the more money you will make. The model this system uses is called a 5X10 forced matrix which puts an affiliate at the top and 5 recruits under them and so on, 10 levels deep.
You can only ever follow the above structure which is why some people can be placed into your downline by those above you in addition to those below you. A completed 5X10 matrix holds 12,207,030 positions and the number of affiliates on each level is outlined in the chart below:
Now that you understand the structure, it is important to understand how this scheme works exactly. The basic idea is to sign up for free and gift your sponsor $20. This 'unlocks' your ability to earn when you recruit 5 people under you.
Once you recruit your first 5 you will complete the first level of your downline and earn $100. At this point, you have the option to gift your sponsor's sponsor $40 which then unlocks the second level of your downline. When the second level of your downline is full, you will earn $1000 in total gifting payments.
This process continues down 10 levels with the deeper you go, the more people you need to recruit to make the money. Members make these gifting payments directly to one another.
Level 1: $20 gifting payment to your upline and receive $20 from 5 new recruits
Level 2: $40 gifting payment to your upline and receive $40 from 25 new recruits
Level 3: $60 gifting payment to your upline and receive $60 from 125 new recruits
Level 4: $100 gifting payment to your upline and receive $100 from 625 new recruits
Level 5: $200 gifting payment to your upline and receive $200 from 3,125 new recruits
Level 6: $300 gifting payment to your upline and receive $300 from 15,625 new recruits
Level 7: $400 gifting payment to your upline and receive $400 from 78,125 new recruits
Level 8: $500 gifting payment to your upline and receive $500 from 390,625 new recruits
Level 9: $700 gifting payment to your upline and receive $700 from 1,953,125 new recruits
Level 10: $990 gifting payment to your upline and receive $990 from 9,765,625 new recruits
Those numbers certainly look exciting, but trying to build a downline past level 6 or at stretch level 7 is highly unlikely. Possible, but highly unlikely. In fact, those numbers highlight how crazy this scheme really is when you think about how there is a finite number of people in the world willing to join a scheme like this in the first place. Getting those numbers is simply not possible for the majority.
While getting paid by other people immediately does minimise some of the risk, it doesn't remove it. Not by a long shot. Recruiting mass amounts of people is no easy task in itself and this is what members are tasked with doing. Recruiting. It will take a good amount of time, effort and potentially money to build a big enough downline to make this worthwhile. That is all good and well if you are dealing with a legitimate company, in this case you are not.
Unfortunately, this scheme is mathematically unsustainable given the way it is structured. Everyone who puts money into this scheme is expecting a return on their investment, which calls for endless recruiting and new gifting. Without new people being recruited constantly, this cannot sustain itself.
There are only so many people willing to join a scheme like this, meaning recruiting must inevitably slow and eventually stall completely. In other words, this is simply not sustainable and as such I do not recommend this to anyone serious about creating a legitimate income online.
